CHOCOLATE 'DEPRESSION' VINEGAR CAKE


Inspired by the Bon Appetite, Nana's Chocolate Vinegar Cake recipe, we made our own 'Depression' Cake recipe with our raw & organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAKE

 

¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature.

2 cups sugar.

1 egg.

2½ cups flour.

1 teaspoon baking soda.

½ cup cocoa powder.

½ teaspoon salt.

1 teaspoon vanilla.

1½ cups wate.r

2 scant tablespoons Vermont Village Raw & Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. 

 

FROSTING INSTRUCTIONS

 

1½ cups powdered sugar.

¼ cup unsalted butter, room temperature.

⅓ cup cocoa powder.

¼ cup brewed coffee.

Ground coffee.

 

CONTINUED..

 

Preheat oven to 350°.

Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients. Add both together. 

Bake for 20-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Allow cake to cool completely before adding the frosting.
